LGS has begun: More than 1 million students will sweat it out...

The first session of the two-part exam began at 09:30.

The first session will end at 10:45. The second session will begin at 11:30 and end at 12:50.

The centralized exam is being held in 62,663 classrooms across 3,891 schools in 973 domestic exam centers, and in 35 classrooms across 11 schools in 11 exam centers abroad.

Exam preparations were made taking into account the 1 million 38 thousand 192 students currently in the 8th grade. Necessary measures have also been taken for 82 visually impaired and 292 partially sighted students. Additionally, 187 students are taking the exam at home or in the hospital due to special circumstances.

A 45-MINUTE BREAK WILL BE GIVEN BETWEEN THE 2 SESSIONS

In the first session of the exam, which started at 09:30, questions will be asked from verbal subjects. Students will be asked a total of 50 questions from Turkish, History of the Republic of Turkey and Atatürkism, Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge, and Foreign Language, and will be given 75 minutes to answer.

In the second session, which will start at 11:30 and consist of 40 questions in Mathematics and Science, students will have 80 minutes. During the 45-minute break between the two sessions, students will be able to go out into the school gardens and attend to their needs.

Students who do not take the LGS centralized exam, which is not mandatory, will be placed in high schools through local placement.

Last year, due to the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş, students were only asked questions from the first-semester curriculum in the LGS centralized exam; however, this year, all subjects covered up to the date of the 8th-grade exam have been included in the scope of the exam.
