Liters of illicit alcohol found in clothing boxes!

Ahead of the upcoming New Year's Eve, inspections targeting the production and sale of illicit alcohol have been increased by gendarmerie and police teams in Sakarya. In this context, an operation was conducted on the residences of individuals named M.E. and D.E. in the Bayırakçaşehir neighborhood of Pamukova district, who were learned to be producing and planning to distribute counterfeit alcohol, as well as on the workplace of an individual named C.Ö. located in the Elperek neighborhood.

During the searches conducted at the suspects' homes and workplace, the following items were seized inside clothing boxes, ready for sale: 519 liters of ethyl alcohol, 300 one-liter bottles of counterfeit whiskey without tax stamps, 20 liters of counterfeit rakı, 5 liters of counterfeit tequila, 20 thousand counterfeit alcohol tax stamps, 2 thousand 500 empty liquor bottles ready for use, 1 thousand 500 counterfeit outer labels, 5 liters of liquor flavoring, and 26 flavoring agents, while the suspects were taken into custody.

In a search conducted by the Highway Gendarmerie Command on a passenger bus driven by an individual named E.F., 99 boxes of detox tea without tax stamps, with a market value of approximately 520 thousand liras, were also seized. The suspect E.F. was released following judicial proceedings.
