Lütfü Savaş promises help to the attacker who pushed him off the stage
Hatay Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Lütfü Savaş stated that he would support the treatment of the individual who pushed him while he was addressing citizens, noting that the person suffers from bipolar disorder.
Lütfü Savaş, who has been serving as the Metropolitan Municipality Mayor in Hatay for two terms, continues his election campaign without interruption.
An unfortunate incident occurred while Mayor Savaş was addressing the public in the Yaylıca neighborhood of Samandağ district.
He was pushed off the stage by A.G. (39), who suffers from bipolar disorder. Savaş, who escaped the incident without any negative consequences, continued his election campaign. Mayor Savaş, who did not file a complaint or press charges against the individual who pushed him from the podium, stated in a post on social media, reminding everyone that he is also a doctor, that he would do everything in his power for the citizen's treatment.

Mayor Savaş said, “Today in Samandağ-Yaylıca, an unpleasant incident occurred while I was addressing the people of Samandağ, who welcomed us with great enthusiasm, involving a citizen who we unfortunately learned is receiving psychiatric treatment.
I am a doctor, and our citizen is ill. I will do everything for his treatment. I would like to thank everyone who expressed their concern, the people of Samandağ and Yaylıca, and the family of our sick brother for all their support,” he stated.
"HE IS MY UNCLE"
A relative of the individual to whom Mayor Savaş extended a helping hand also said in a social media post, "Good day to everyone. A sad incident occurred today against Mr. Lütfü Savaş, but this attack was definitely not planned; unfortunately, he is my uncle and has psychological problems. In short, he is a sick individual, and it is a condition that increases during seasonal transitions."
