Macron reveals content of his meeting with Erdoğan: Published the message in Turkish

French President Emmanuel Macron announced in a statement on Thursday, July 24, that France will recognize Palestine as a state.

In a post on the social media platform X, stating that he would formalize the decision at the United Nations General Assembly in September, Macron said, "What is urgent today is the end of the war in Gaza and the rescue of the civilian population."

While the statement, which caused astonishment in the world public opinion, is seen as an important step in the Israel-Palestine issue, another remarkable post came from Macron.

Sharing a post in Turkish on his social media account, Macron announced that he had spoken with President Erdoğan. Announcing that a two-state solution to what is happening in Gaza was discussed during the meeting, Macron made the following post:

"I just spoke with President @RTErdogan about the situation in Gaza and the prospect of a two-state solution conference. Everything must be done for the peace and security of Israelis and Palestinians."
