Mahfi Eğilmez: We paid people to take citizenship

The damaging consequences of the 'citizenship for home purchase' policy, which has been criticized by a very large segment of the population, have begun to surface.

Economist Mahfi Eğilmez looked at the policy, which has been heavily criticized since it was first implemented, from a very different perspective.

Pointing out that homes purchased a few years ago are now being sold due to economic uncertainty as their prices have increased in a short time, Eğilmez criticized the current situation with the words, 'we paid people to take citizenship.'

HERE IS THAT POST BY MAHFİ EĞİLMEZ:

"We gave citizenship to everyone who bought a house for 250 thousand dollars. The 5-year period has expired, and they sold the houses for double the price. Thus, we have gone down in history as the only country that paid people to take citizenship."
