Male body found in the Bosphorus: Investigation launched
An investigation has been launched after citizens fishing at the Çubuklu Coast in Beykoz spotted a male body in the sea. The body was recovered from the water by Coast Guard teams and sent to the Council of Forensic Medicine.
Citizens fishing at the Çubuklu Coast, located in the Beykoz district of the Bosphorus, spotted a male body in the sea. Upon reporting the incident to the 112 Emergency Call Center, Coast Guard teams were dispatched to the area.
COAST GUARD RECOVERED THE BODY
Arriving quickly at the scene following the report, Coast Guard teams recovered the body from the sea and conducted their initial examinations. In the preliminary investigation, no definitive information could be reached regarding the identity of the body or the cause of death.
SENT TO FORENSIC MEDICINE
The body was sent to the morgue of the Council of Forensic Medicine for identification and to determine the exact cause of death. Istanbul police and Coast Guard teams announced that a comprehensive investigation into the incident has been launched.
