Male body found in the Tigris River
A male body was found in the Tigris River in the Bismil district of Diyarbakır.
Children playing by the Tigris River in the Dumlupınar neighborhood noticed someone motionless in the water, approximately 2 meters from the shore.
MISSING PERSON REPORT FILED
Upon notification, 112 Emergency Health services, the fire department, and gendarmerie underwater search and rescue teams from Diyarbakır were dispatched to the scene. The body, which was recovered from the water by the teams, was identified as belonging to 43-year-old Serdar S., who had been reported missing by his family two days earlier.
The body of Serdar S., who was reportedly a fisherman in the district, was sent to the Diyarbakır Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy.
