Man who killed his wife and daughter with a shotgun takes his own life

Following reports of gunfire from a house in Istanbul's Sultangazi district, police arrived at the scene after being alerted by neighbors and discovered three lifeless bodies inside. Investigations revealed that 70-year-old Hayrettin K. had killed his wife and daughter before committing suicide.

Police teams were dispatched to the scene after neighbors heard gunshots coming from a house on 2552 Street in the Cebeci neighborhood. As the door was locked and there was no response from inside, Special Operations teams were also directed to the address.

Upon entering the apartment, the teams found the lifeless bodies of Hayrettin K. (70), his wife Hatice K. (67), and his daughter Zeliha K. (46). Police investigations determined that Hayrettin K., who was alleged to have been suffering from psychological issues, had killed his wife and daughter with a shotgun before using the same weapon to take his own life. Following the investigation, the bodies of the three individuals were transported to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue.
