Mansur Yavaş announces: Sabotage on escalators

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) Mayor Mansur Yavaş has shared footage of sabotage targeting escalators in the metro.

In the footage, it is seen that unidentified individuals stopped the operating escalators by pressing the emergency stop buttons.

Yavaş stated the following in his post:

“My dear citizens, we will initiate legal action against those who intentionally damage escalators and elevators across Ankara. We are monitoring these public service facilities 24/7 and are working decisively to prevent any inconvenience. Public property is our legacy to future generations; we will protect it together. In case of any malfunction in elevators or escalators, you can reach us by calling the malfunction hotline at 0534 010 19 17 or Başkent 153.”
