Mansur Yavaş gives striking response to rival Altınok over pensioners

Yavaş responded to the remarks made by People's Alliance Ankara Candidate Turgut Altınok regarding pensioners. Yavaş said, "Where was your mind for the last six months? Did you not think at all about what these people eat and drink for the last six months?"

People's Alliance Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayoral Candidate Turgut Altınok announced during the week that while the amount of natural gas and meat assistance for pensioners would increase, 5,000 TL would also be paid regularly every month to pensioners in need.

CHP's Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayoral Candidate Mansur Yavaş responded to Altınok at the opening of the Yenimahalle Election Coordination Center.

"WHERE WAS YOUR MIND FOR THE LAST SIX MONTHS?"

Mansur Yavaş stated the following:

"Our rival said, 'He is distributing the citizen's money to the citizen.' Of course, what else would happen? Were we going to distribute the citizen's money to rent-seeking? Of course, we distribute the citizen's money to the citizens, to those in need. And we are number one in social support so far. 

We have been supporting pensioners for six months. Now their Istanbul candidate also says, 'We will also support pensioners': 2,500. The one in Ankara increased it to 5,000. Where was your mind for the last six months? Did you not think at all about what these people eat and drink for the last six months? 

Actually, they are saying that pensioners are truly victims. Please tell the government about the situation of pensioners, not on television screens. They have just discovered the situation of pensioners."
