March will make you look from the door! Snowfall is coming starting Wednesday!

It has been stated that the country will enter the influence of a new rainy weather system on Wednesday, and the precipitation, which will begin as rain, will be seen as snow on Thursday and Friday in Central Anatolia, the Inner Aegean, the inner parts of the Black Sea, and the high altitudes of the Mediterranean.

Abdullah Macit, Analysis and Forecasting Expert at the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change's General Directorate of Meteorology, made statements regarding air temperatures across the country.

Stating that according to the latest assessments, air temperatures will remain at seasonal norms until Wednesday, Macit noted that temperatures will drop below seasonal norms after Wednesday.

Stating that precipitation is expected in the eastern parts of the country tomorrow, and that the precipitation will be in the form of heavy snow, especially in the surroundings of Şırnak, Hakkari, Bitlis, and Van, Macit issued a warning against the danger of avalanches.

Stating that the country will enter the influence of a new rainy weather system on Wednesday, Macit spoke as follows:

"We expect the precipitation, which will begin as rain, to be seen as snow on Thursday and Friday in Central Anatolia, the Inner Aegean, the inner parts of the Black Sea, and the high altitudes of the Mediterranean. After continuing in the eastern parts on Saturday, the precipitation will leave our country. On Sunday, temperatures will return to seasonal norms."

Stating that the month of March will practically make you look from the door for the next three days, Macit indicated that nighttime temperatures will drop across the country, and temperatures will fall below zero in the inner regions.

Stating that snowfall is expected throughout the Central Anatolia Region, Macit said, "We expect snowfall in the Inner Aegean, Afyonkarahisar, Uşak, Kütahya, the inner parts of the Black Sea, the Eastern Anatolia Region, and the high altitudes of the Eastern Mediterranean. Citizens should not be deceived by the spring weather; cold weather will be effective throughout this week."

Macit reported that there is no expectation of precipitation in Ankara tomorrow, but that snowfall will be effective starting from the evening hours on Wednesday, and that the snowfall will continue intermittently on Thursday and Friday.

Stating that precipitation in Istanbul and Izmir will be in the form of showers throughout the week, Macit expressed that temperatures in the three major cities will drop by 4-5 degrees.
