Martyr's grave relocated after 64 years

The grave of Infantry Private Tacet Aslantürk, who was buried in the cemetery in Bakioğlu village of the Kozcağız town in Bartın and learned to have been martyred in 1969, was relocated to the newly constructed cemetery area in the village with a ceremony held.

It was learned that the remains were moved because the village cemetery where the martyr was located would be submerged due to a newly built dam.

Before the ceremony, which was also attended by Bartın Governor Nurtaç Arslan, military personnel, and the martyr's relatives, the martyr's grave was excavated and his remains were placed in a coffin. The coffin, draped in the Turkish flag, was carried on shoulders to the new village cemetery.

With prayers offered, the funeral of martyr Private Aslantürk was reinterred.
