Massacre in Kahramanmaraş: Footage of students jumping from windows to escape emerges
Four people lost their lives and twenty were injured in an armed attack at Aysel Çalık Secondary School in the Onikişubat district. Security camera footage captured the moments when students, gripped by panic, jumped from windows during the attack.
Terrifying moments occurred this morning at Aysel Çalık Secondary School in the Onikişubat district of Kahramanmaraş. As a result of gunfire opened by a student, there were fatalities among teachers and students at the scene. In the footage that emerged regarding the attack, gunshots are heard in succession, while some students, overcome by fear, jumped from classroom windows to save their lives. Those moments caused horror for those around the building.

A large number of police and medical personnel were dispatched to the scene in a short time. Kahramanmaraş Governor Mükerrem Ünlüer stated in his announcement that four people lost their lives and twenty people were injured following the attack. It was reported that four of the injured are in critical condition and have been taken into surgery.
It was learned that the perpetrator was an eighth-grade student and arrived at the school with five firearms and seven magazines. Governor Ünlüer shared the information that the attacker committed suicide during the incident and that his father was a former police officer. Additionally, it was reported that the attacker entered two different classrooms and opened fire.
