The 'massacre law' hits the streets: Puppies found dead inside a bag

Following the AKP government's regulation regarding stray animals, an animal massacre was carried out by the Gebze Municipality, which responded by saying, 'We implemented the law.' After the atrocity, a protest was held in front of the Gebze Municipality by the Gebze Labor and Democracy Forces, animal rights advocates, and citizens, emphasizing that the law should be withdrawn.

After the massacre in Gebze, another report of a massacre came from Avcılar, Istanbul.

Teams affiliated with the Avcılar Municipality Cleaning Department found two dogs killed inside two sacks while cleaning a container. Upon notification, police teams were dispatched to the scene. The killed dogs were removed from the sacks under the supervision of police teams. The two dogs, which are believed to have been strangled to death, were handed over to the teams of the Avcılar Municipality Veterinary Directorate. Police teams have launched an investigation to find the person or persons who killed the dogs, put them in sacks, and threw them in the trash.
