The Ministry of Interior has announced the results of a massive series of operations conducted against drug dealers across Turkey over the past two weeks.

A total of 1,780 suspects were apprehended in simultaneous raids carried out in 73 provinces under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security's Department of Anti-Narcotic Crimes. Of the suspects referred to the courthouse, 935 were arrested and sent to prison.
2-WEEK BALANCE SHEET OF THE OPERATION
The substances seized as a result of the meticulous work of narcotics teams and the judicial status of the suspects are as follows:
Seized Narcotics: 985 Kilograms
Seized Narcotic Pills: 1 Million 639 Thousand 239 Units
Suspects Detained: 1,780 People
Arrested: 935 People
Released Under Judicial Control: 224 People (Processing of other suspects at the police station is ongoing.)
17 AIRCRAFT AND DETECTION DOGS DEPLOYED
Security forces, who entered the dens of street dealers in 73 provinces, were on the field with what was essentially an army during the operations. The logistical and personnel scale of the operation was notable:
A total of 2,670 teams, 6,675 personnel, 17 aircraft (helicopters and UAVs/UCAVs), and 34 narcotics detection dogs were deployed to find hidden compartments where drugs were stashed during the raids.
MESSAGE OF DETERMINATION FROM THE MINISTRY: "WE WILL NEVER GIVE THEM A CHANCE"
In an official statement issued by the Ministry of Interior, it was emphasized that the uncompromising fight against drug dealers will continue without interruption:
"We are never giving a chance to poison traffickers who target the future of our youth, the peace of our families, and the safety of our society. With the determined and devoted work of our security forces, we are continuing our operations against drugs across every corner of our country without interruption."
It was stated that the seized narcotics dealt a major blow to the financial networks of organized crime groups, and it was reported that narcotics police will continue their shock raids in neighborhoods identified in advance and at checkpoints at city entrances and exits.
