Mehmet Şimşek's post-election moves revealed! The striking 'municipality' detail...

It was alleged that before the March 31 Local Elections, the relationship between AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek had reached a breaking point.

Tv100 columnist Fuat Uğur, in his article titled "The holiday is over, now the Mehmet Şimşek wind will blow," reported on what happened in the cabinet before the election.

Stating that a tense process took place in the cabinet, Uğur noted that the relationship between Erdoğan and Minister Şimşek had reached a breaking point before the election, that Şimşek ultimately emerged as the winner, and that he would implement serious restrictions for the new term.

Sharing behind-the-scenes information he obtained from Treasury and Finance Ministry sources, Uğur commented, "Big surprises await us."

Here are Şimşek's priorities for the new term:

"First of all, the system, which has become obese, will go on a serious diet.

The priority here is to fill the COFFERS.

1-The focus will be on unregistered money, and measures will be taken to minimize tax evasion.

2-The era of austerity in the state will be triggered strongly, not with superficial measures.

3-Massive investments will be ended. In other words, costly investments such as land and sea tunnels, long and divided highways, airports, suspension bridges, and large hydroelectric power plants will not be undertaken.

4-Priority will be given to investments in the production-based real sector, green energy, the environment, and agriculture. The main investment areas for the World Bank's increase of the 17 billion dollar investment loan used by Turkey by another 18 billion dollars to 35 billion dollars also include these sectors.

5-The general view of Mehmet Şimşek and the ministry staff is that agriculture and livestock have been treated poorly. Special importance will be given to agriculture and livestock. Support for entrepreneurs and farmers operating in this sector will be encouraging, but at the same time, it will be strictly monitored whether the support is reflected in production.

6-Municipalities will now have to fend for themselves. There is no more generous support for municipalities as in the past. Their coffers are already filling up with property and similar taxes. They will need to use their money profitably. For example, generous support for events such as festivals, various infrastructure projects, and zoning projects will now be a thing of the past."
