The incident occurred around 18:00 at a cattle farm located in the Olukman neighborhood.

Umut B. (29), who is mentally disabled, stabbed his mother Şafiye B. (56) multiple times in the back following an argument at the farmhouse. After the incident, the disabled youth called the 112 Emergency Call Center and reported, "I killed my mother."

Upon the report, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Medical teams arriving at the scene determined that Şafiye B. had lost her life. Gendarmerie teams took the disabled youth into custody.

The woman's lifeless body was taken to the Bursa Forensic Medicine Institute morgue.
