Meral Akşener: 'I went through the school of Süleyman Demirel'

In her speech at an iftar program organized by her party's Isparta Provincial Presidency at the IYAŞ Congress Center, Akşener said that the reason for the establishment of the İYİ Party was to hear the voices of the youth and to understand what the elderly think.

Stating that she went through the tutelage of the 9th President Süleyman Demirel, Akşener explained that she touched voters by traveling street by street.

Expressing that she does not just hold rallies like other political party leaders, but travels district by district to be with tradespeople, Akşener said, "There are people who get angry at me there, and there are people who love me. I learned how instructive and important it is for a politician to be among our nation from the system of your child, your elder, your father, the late Demirel."

Akşener requested support for her party's mayoral candidate, Ahmet Tural.

Stating that she is also seeking the votes of all teachers, Akşener noted the following:

"Hold my hand, give me the power, and you will see how I get those 100 thousand teachers appointed. No to interviews; it was said that we would leave the issue of interviews behind in 2023, we all said it, yet interviews continue.

Interviews are such a disgusting situation; it is the bottom of nepotism, a system that spits on exams and tests conducted. Look, I am saying it again in those tradesmen's shops, I saw children who could not be appointed with 87 points, 93 points, and were eliminated in the interview. I saw their mothers and fathers.

In contrast, I saw that those who had connections, who had 'uncles' in the system, were appointed starting from 67 points up to 73 points. No one has the right to crush the hope of these young people here. I promise I will solve this interview issue."
