Mert Hakan Yandaş, detained in betting investigation, speaks out: What did he tell his lawyers?
Fenerbahçe footballer Mert Hakan Yandaş, who was detained as part of a betting investigation by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, denied the allegations during a meeting with club lawyers.
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has carried out a new operation as part of an ongoing investigation into illegal betting. Fenerbahçe footballer Mert Hakan Yandaş was also detained during this operation. As a result of the investigation, it was alleged that Yandaş placed bets using someone else's account. It was claimed that the account in question belonged to Ersen Dikmen.
"I HAVE NO CONNECTION TO BETTING"
Yandaş, who was detained in the betting investigation, categorically denied the allegations. Speaking on the 343 Digital YouTube channel, İbrahim Seten shared information regarding Yandaş's meeting with the club's lawyers. Seten stated that Yandaş told his lawyers the following:
“I have never been involved in such business. I lent money to Ersen Dikmen, and he paid it back. We had some financial transactions. I have no connection to betting.”
Although it was alleged that Yandaş may have placed bets using Ersen Dikmen's account as part of the investigation, Yandaş firmly rejected this accusation. According to the claims, there was a financial exchange following the loan he provided to Dikmen, but it was asserted that this situation had no connection to betting.
