Message from Bahçeli regarding the new resolution process: 'In the İmralı statement...'

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, who has been resting at home and not appearing in public following his heart valve surgery on February 5, spoke to Türkgün Newspaper.

Evaluating the current agenda, Bahçeli gave messages regarding the new resolution process, which he calls a "Turkey without terrorism" and of which he is the architect.

In today's installment of his statements, the first two parts of which were published yesterday and the day before, Bahçeli said, "Building a Turkey that has completely ended terrorism in the new century of our Republic is for the benefit of every one of our citizens, regardless of their ethnic and religious origin, political affiliation, sect, or disposition."

Stating that efforts to reach the goal of a "Turkey without terrorism" are continuing, Bahçeli used the expressions, "In the process of a Turkey without terrorism, it is essential to end not only the terrorism in the mountains but also the vandalistic mentality in the cities. Every party is obliged to be a party of Turkey."

Bahçeli said, "Political movements that want to be a party of Turkey must develop an inclusive, peaceful discourse that appeals to the entire society."

Devlet Bahçeli stated, "Creating sound answers to questions such as what path political parties should follow after the disarmament process, how the ideal of being a party of Turkey can be built, and how harmony between parliament, politics, and society can be ensured will also make the institutionalization of politics and political parties possible."

MHP leader Bahçeli said, "The call for the organization to lay down its arms in the İmralı statement, without any separate state, federation, any form of autonomy, or culturalist demands, has been an important step for the start of a new process in Turkey. The full success of this process will be possible not only through the terrorist organization laying down its arms, but also through the disappearance into history of any political understanding that affirms terrorism or leans on terrorism or vandalism."

Bahçeli used the expressions, "A more democratic, stronger, and more prosperous Turkey is the common desire of everyone."
