Message from İmamoğlu to AKP politicians and the business world! 'This is a matter of survival'

CHP's presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is currently imprisoned in Silivri Prison, has addressed the business world and politicians.

In a message shared on the X account opened in his name, titled "THE ERA OF KEEPING QUIET, STOPPING, AND WAITING IS OVER!", İmamoğlu stated: "Do you really think that this mindset, which runs away from the nation and elections, cowardly imprisons those it cannot defeat, and conducts business with the consent of foreign heads of state, will not be sent away by the nation at the first opportunity?"

The full text of İmamoğlu's statement is as follows:

"THE ERA OF KEEPING QUIET, STOPPING, AND WAITING IS OVER!

I am addressing AKP politicians, the bureaucracy under tutelage, and the business world: Are you not tired of the politics of domination, chaos, polarization, and crisis that the state and the nation have been dragged into? Are you still not aware of what is happening? Are you not aware of the abyss into which a handful of people at the Presidential Complex are dragging our state and our nation?

While our country is surrounded by conflicts on all sides and developments in the Middle East threaten our homeland, are you not tired of those who drag our nation and our internal front into chaos, crisis, and instability? And most importantly, are you not aware that our great nation will not say 'so be it' to this ambition and cowardice, and how these ambitious people will lose?

Do you really think that this mindset, which runs away from the nation and elections, cowardly imprisons those it cannot defeat, and conducts business with the consent of foreign heads of state, will not be sent away by the nation at the first opportunity? This issue is a matter of existence or non-existence for the state and the nation. This issue is a 'Survival' matter. The course of these lands is determined not by backroom deals, but by the wisdom of our beloved nation. We have taken our stand with the nation. Everyone should determine their position according to the nation. The conscience of the nation will surely judge everyone."
