Message from Kurum on 'protecting the votes': 'Let us be vigilant against any kind of manipulation'

People's Alliance Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayoral Candidate Murat Kurum shared a message on his X account about "protecting the ballot boxes" while the votes were being counted. 

Kurum's post is as follows:

"The polls have now closed, and Istanbulites have fulfilled their democratic responsibilities. I would like to thank everyone individually who went to the polls and took ownership of our Istanbul. 

Now it is time for all of us to PROTECT THE BALLOT BOXES TOGETHER. 

The ballot box is a matter of honor, and every vote is a trust. Let us be vigilant against any kind of manipulation that may arise during the vote-counting process. The process will not end after the votes are counted and the records are signed. No matter what happens, we will not leave the ballot boxes until the very last moment"
