Message to the youth from Ekrem İmamoğlu! He listed his plans: 'None of these are dreams'

CHP's presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is currently imprisoned at Silivri Prison, has made a new post on X.

İmamoğlu addressed the youth in a post made from the Presidential Candidate Office account opened in his name.

"WE WILL BURY INTERVIEWS IN HISTORY"

Emphasizing that young people should not fall into despair, İmamoğlu said, "We will build the Turkey of your dreams together. We will not take what is not ours, and we will not let our rights be taken. We will work together for a just and equal society. Merit will be our only criterion, and we will bury the interview system in history."

Listing what he will do for the youth, İmamoğlu stated, "None of these are dreams; they are achievable goals. As long as leaders who think of their country, their nation, and most importantly, the youth who are the architects of the future, and who prioritize their needs, expectations, and ideals, come to power. That is why we set out for this, for you."

The full text of İmamoğlu's message is as follows:

"Dear Youth,

We are taking note of all your complaints. Do not fall into despair. The light at the end of the tunnel has appeared. The ballot box will come, and all the troubles you are experiencing will end.

We will build the Turkey of your dreams together. We will not take what is not ours, and we will not let our rights be taken. We will work together for a just and equal society. Merit will be our only criterion, and we will bury the interview system in history.

Not a hair on your freedoms will be harmed. When you exercise your constitutional rights, the threat of detention and dawn raids on homes will become a thing of the past. Protesting will be your most natural right. There will be a state that listens to you and takes you into account. The dignity, freedom, and security of every individual will be under the guarantee of the state. Equality of opportunity in education will be ensured. The distinction between those who have money and those who do not will disappear. No one will be separated from their university because they cannot find a place to stay.

Those who graduate from university will not be left in despair. The concept of 'neither in education nor in employment' will become a thing of the past. Our employment offices will provide mentorship to help you reach your career goals and ideals. Encouraging incentives that prioritize sectoral and current fields will be implemented for those who want to start a business and for entrepreneurs.

We will encourage overseas visits that provide experience opportunities for the youth. We will offer special opportunities and facilities for the youth in the fields of culture, art, and sports.

None of these are dreams; they are achievable goals. As long as leaders who think of their country, their nation, and most importantly, the youth who are the architects of the future, and who prioritize their needs, expectations, and ideals, come to power.
