According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology, it is estimated that the western parts of the country will be partly to very cloudy, with rain and occasional thunderstorms expected in the Marmara region, the Aegean (except Afyonkarahisar), the west of Central Anatolia, and the inland parts of the Western Black Sea, while other areas will be partly to mostly clear.
Rainfall is expected to be locally heavy in the surroundings of Çanakkale, Tekirdağ, Edirne, Muğla, and the Edremit Gulf, as well as in the coastal parts of Aydın. Haze and occasional fog are expected in the northern and inland areas during the morning and night hours. There is a risk of avalanches on the high, snow-covered steep slopes of the inland parts of the Eastern Black Sea, the north and east of Eastern Anatolia, and the Central Taurus Mountains.
MARMARA
It is estimated that the region will be partly to very cloudy, with rain and occasional thunderstorms across the region, which will be locally heavy in Çanakkale and the west of Thrace. Dust transport is expected in the region along with strong (40-70 km/h) southerly winds.
