Yellow and orange code warnings from Meteorology for 18 cities! Heavy downpours and snowfall expected

According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology, the country is expected to be mostly cloudy, with precipitation expected in the east of Central Anatolia, the Black Sea, the north and east of Eastern Anatolia, the east of Southeastern Anatolia, as well as the surroundings of Istanbul, Kocaeli, Yalova, Sakarya, Çankırı, Şanlıurfa, and the northern parts of Ankara.

The precipitation, which will generally be in the form of rain and downpours, and sleet and snow in the high altitudes of Central Anatolia, the high altitudes of the inner parts of the Black Sea, and the high parts of the north and east of Eastern Anatolia, is expected to be heavy in the coasts of Western Black Sea, Eastern Black Sea, the east of Eastern Anatolia, the east of Southeastern Anatolia, and the surroundings of Ordu and Düzce, and locally very heavy and severe in the east of Eastern Black Sea, the southeast of Eastern Anatolia, and the surroundings of Batman and Siirt.

On the other hand, yellow and orange code warnings have been issued for Ağrı, Artvin, Ardahan, Bingöl, Bitlis, Elazığ, Erzincan, Erzurum, Hakkari, Mersin, Kars, Kastamonu, Malatya, Muş, Rize, Sinop, Tunceli, and Şırnak.

HEAVY PRECIPITATION WARNING

Since the precipitation is expected to be heavy in the coasts of Western Black Sea, Eastern Black Sea, the east of Eastern Anatolia, the east of Southeastern Anatolia, and the surroundings of Ordu and Düzce, and locally very heavy and severe in the east of Eastern Black Sea, the southeast of Eastern Anatolia, and the surroundings of Batman and Siirt, it has been stated that one should be careful and take precautions against potential negative consequences such as flash floods, local flooding, and overflows.
