Meteorology issues heavy snow warning for Rize, Artvin, and Ardahan
The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a warning for heavy snow and rain in Rize, Artvin, and Ardahan. It is stated that disruptions in transportation and other adverse conditions may occur due to heavy snowfall and downpours.
According to the statement made by the General Directorate of Meteorology, precipitation in the vicinity of Rize, Artvin, and Ardahan is expected to intensify starting tomorrow evening, manifesting as heavy rain and downpours in coastal areas, and as heavy and locally intense snowfall in the interior parts of Rize and the surrounding areas of Artvin and Ardahan.
Due to the heavy precipitation, it is necessary to be cautious and take precautions against adverse conditions such as transportation disruptions, floods, inundations, landslides, strong winds, and icing, frost, and blizzards in areas experiencing snowfall.
