Meteorology issues warning: Heavy rain and storm alert

According to the weather forecast report from the General Directorate of Meteorology for May 30, the weather across Turkey will be partly to very cloudy. Precipitation will be effective in many regions. Showers and thunderstorms are expected in the west of Marmara, the eastern and southern parts of the Aegean, the Mediterranean Region, most of Central Anatolia, the interior parts of the Western Black Sea, the Eastern Black Sea, and the northern and eastern regions of Eastern Anatolia.

It was also stated that short-term precipitation could be seen in the vicinity of Çorum and Ordu.

HEAVY RAIN WARNING: PAY ATTENTION TO THESE PROVINCES!

Meteorology pointed out that rainfall could be locally heavy in some regions. In this context;

Precipitation is expected to increase in intensity in the southeast of the Aegean, the Western Mediterranean, the south of Central Anatolia, and the surroundings of Edirne, Kırklareli, Tekirdağ, Adana, Ankara, and Çankırı.

Authorities emphasized that citizens should be careful and take precautions against negative conditions such as flash floods, flooding, lightning, and disruptions in transportation.

WIND WILL TURN INTO A STORM IN EASTERN ANATOLIA

The wind is expected to blow generally from the north, but from southern directions in the southern and eastern parts of the country. Especially during rainfall and in the east of Eastern Anatolia, the wind is predicted to blow strongly at speeds between 30 and 60 kilometers per hour.

MARMARA

It is estimated that the weather will be partly to very cloudy, with local showers and thunderstorms in the surroundings of Edirne, Kırklareli, Tekirdağ, and Çanakkale. Precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the surroundings of Edirne, Kırklareli, and Tekirdağ.
