Meteorology issues warning: Heavy rainfall expected

The General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM) reports that according to the latest assessments, the northwestern parts of the country will be partly to very cloudy, with local showers and thunderstorms expected in the west of the Marmara region, the interior parts of the Western Black Sea, the surroundings of Bilecik, Kütahya, Eskişehir, Çankırı, and Sinop, as well as the northern parts of Ankara, while other areas are expected to be mostly clear and sunny.

The rainfall is expected to be locally heavy in the surroundings of Bolu, Karabük, and Kastamonu.

AIR TEMPERATURE: No significant change is expected; temperatures are forecast to remain above seasonal norms across the country.

WIND: Generally northerly, expected to blow lightly, occasionally at moderate strength, from southerly directions in the Mediterranean coastal areas and southeastern parts during the afternoon.

HEAVY RAINFALL WARNING

As the rainfall is expected to be locally heavy in the surroundings of Bolu, Karabük, and Kastamonu after the afternoon hours, it is necessary to be careful and take precautions against potential negative consequences.
