Meteorology issues warning: Heavy rainfall is coming across the country

According to the 5-day weather forecast report from the General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM), partly to very cloudy weather will prevail across the country. Localized showers and thunderstorms will be seen in many regions. Rainfall is expected to be particularly strong in the Black Sea, Eastern Anatolia, and Southeastern Anatolia regions.

According to MGM's detailed forecasts, intermittent showers and thunderstorms are predicted for the Taurus Mountains area of the Eastern Mediterranean, Central Anatolia (excluding the south of Konya and Karaman), the Black Sea, Eastern Anatolia, the east of Southeastern Anatolia, and some provinces in Western Anatolia. Rainfall is expected to be locally heavy, especially in the Central and Eastern Black Sea, the north of Erzurum, and the surroundings of Kars and Ardahan.

It is also estimated that the weekend will be rainy in the megacity of Istanbul. According to the latest forecasts, rainy weather will be effective in Istanbul starting from Friday.
