Meteorology issues warning: Risk of storm and downpours
The General Directorate of Meteorology has announced that a strong northerly storm is expected this evening in the inland parts of the Eastern Mediterranean and the west of Eastern Anatolia. Additionally, local downpours will be effective in some regions.
The General Directorate of Meteorology has announced that it expects a strong storm from northerly directions with speeds of 40-60 km/h this evening in the inland parts of the Eastern Mediterranean and the west of Eastern Anatolia. Citizens have been warned to be careful and take precautions against possible adverse conditions.
DOWNPOURS WILL BE EFFECTIVE
According to the forecasts, partly to very cloudy weather is expected in the northern and eastern parts of Turkey. Local downpours and thunderstorms will be effective in the west of Thrace, the inland parts of the Central and Eastern Black Sea, the coasts of Samsun and Artvin, and the east of Eastern Anatolia. Other regions are expected to experience mostly clear and sunny weather.
TEMPERATURE CHANGES
Meteorology stated that air temperatures in the northeastern and eastern parts of the country will hover around seasonal norms, while they will be above normal in other regions.
STORM AND DOWNPOUR RISK!
The strong storm and downpours expected this evening may cause disruptions, especially in sea and land transportation.
