Meteorology issues warnings for 6 cities! Date set for snowfall in Istanbul

According to the latest evaluations by the Turkish State Meteorological Service, the eastern parts of the country, and over time the southwest of Marmara, the Aegean coast, and the west of the Western Mediterranean are expected to be partly to very cloudy. Precipitation is expected in the coastal areas of the Central Black Sea, the Eastern Black Sea, the north and east of Eastern Anatolia, and in the morning hours in Tokat, Siirt, and the interior parts of Sinop, as well as from the evening hours onwards in the Aegean coast, the south of Çanakkale, the western districts of Balıkesir, and the western coasts of Antalya. 

The precipitation, which will be in the form of rain and showers in coastal areas and around Iğdır, and sleet and snow in the eastern parts, is expected to be locally heavy in the high altitudes of Rize, Artvin, Ardahan, Hakkâri, and the south of Van, as well as in the Marmaris district of Muğla starting from the night hours. 

The wind will be strong (40-60 km/h) from westerly and northwesterly directions in the east of the Eastern Black Sea, and from southerly and southeasterly directions on the Aegean coast after the evening hours.

According to the map shared by the Meteorology office, snow will arrive on Sunday in Istanbul, which will begin a rainy week starting tomorrow.

It is expected to be partly cloudy, becoming very cloudy in the southwest over time, with local showers expected in the south of Çanakkale and the western districts of Balıkesir from the evening hours onwards.
