MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli speaks at group meeting: 'Dersim' criticism for Özgür Özel

Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli made statements at his party's group meeting.

'DERSIM' CRITICISM FOR ÖZEL

Highlights from Bahçeli's speech are as follows:

"Following the May 14 and 28 elections, our Turkey will accelerate further with the March 31 Local Administration elections. The 5-year roadmap for a total of 1389 municipalities, including 30 metropolitan and 51 provincial municipalities, will be determined by the Turkish nation.

The 'DEM-infused' CHP will be defeated in the face of Anatolian wisdom. Terrorist organizations, separatist puppets, economic hitmen, imperialist pawns, and opponents of the Republic will receive a lesson they will never forget on March 31. The People's Alliance will build Turkey's future with the March 31 elections and illuminate it with the torch of democracy.

We trust in Anatolian wisdom. With the March 31 elections, our Turkey will accelerate further. Those who are with the people will rise. The CHP will be defeated in the face of Anatolian wisdom. Terrorist organizations, separatist groups, so-called intellectuals, and those planning against the people and the truth will not get what they want. The rusty chains on local administrations will be broken.

The People's Alliance will rebuild Turkey's future with the March 31 elections. The people are ours, and Turkey belongs to us all. We will work together without separating or fragmenting. We will be one, we will be righteous, and we will be an example with our stance.

"IT IS NOT THE SIX ARROWS BUT ALTINOK WHO WILL LEAVE A MARK ON ANKARA"

There is no place called Dersim in Turkey. What exists is Tunceli, where the iron-hearted live. Saving Istanbul from the DEM-supporting separatists is a duty of conquest. Saving Ankara is a requirement of loyalty to Atatürk. The 'DEM-infused' CHP will go, and the Century of Turkey will be realized. Istanbul will get its Murad (wish). REMOVAL OF THE MARTYRS SECTION FROM THE FRIDAY SERMON

The section containing prayers for our martyrs was skipped. Our district governor, who had previously read the sermon online, noticed that the part containing prayers for our martyrs was not read, so he warned the imam and ensured it was read. Immediately after the prayer, when he asked this imam why he did not read it, he received the answer 'I am being pressured, that's why I didn't read it,' to which he replied, 'You are the state's imam.' Our martyrs have their places in the heavens in the Quran and in the hearts of the Muslim Turkish nation.
