MHP reacts to CHP's 'Can Atalay meeting': 'Let this be a lesson to you'

Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız targeted the CHP, which called for an extraordinary session of Parliament to discuss the situation of Can Atalay.

Yıldız reacted to the CHP's call for an extraordinary session of Parliament to discuss the situation of Can Atalay, whose parliamentary membership was revoked despite a Constitutional Court (AYM) ruling.

Targeting the CHP, Yıldız said, "Let this be a lesson to those whose mouths are a span ahead of their heads. In a state of law, no one can be the judge of their own case."

In a statement on his social media account, Yıldız used the following expressions:

"The CHP is reportedly going to call the Gazi Parliament to an extraordinary session again on September 10 regarding Can Atalay.

It is clear that explaining Article 93 of the Constitution, the purpose of Article 7 of the internal regulations, the exception to immunity, parliamentary law, the duties and powers of the Constitutional Court and the Court of Cassation, and the final judgment to these friends is a waste of time.

Let this be a lesson to those whose mouths are a span ahead of their heads.

In a state of law, no one can be the judge of their own case."
