Alanya Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik had promised before the March 31 local elections to hang the municipality's debt list and monthly income-expenditure balance banner on the main municipal building.

Mayor Özçelik kept his promise and hung the municipality's debt list and monthly income-expenditure balance banner on the main building.

According to the posted list, the total debt of Alanya Municipality that must be paid in the short term is 1 billion 122 million 258 thousand 556 liras.

ATTENTION DRAWN TO THE DIFFERENCE IN DEBT AMOUNT

Another monthly income-expenditure balance banner containing the municipality's debt list was hung on the building of the MHP, the party of the previous Alanya Mayor Adem Murat Yücel.

It was observed that the debt written on the banner was 448 million 631 thousand 348 liras.

In a statement made by the MHP Alanya District Organization regarding the issue, it was stated, “Alanya Municipality, which was taken over in 2014 with a debt equal to its budget, has grown its budget 40-fold over a 10-year period and has handed it over with a debt of less than 10 percent of its budget and with existing mega projects that cannot be erased or demolished.
