Midnight fire panic in Antalya! Businesses and vehicles reduced to ashes

The fire occurred around 3:30 a.m. at adjacent aluminum, auto repair, and paint supply shops located on 5024 Street in the Yeşil Industrial Site in the Şafak neighborhood of the Kepez district.

According to the information obtained, those who noticed the flames reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Following the report, numerous fire, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the specified address. In the meantime, the flames spread to other adjacent businesses and vehicles.

BUDGERIGARS RESCUED

Business owners who heard about the incident shed tears upon seeing their shops burning. During the extinguishing efforts, budgerigars in 4 cages were rescued from the shop selling paint supplies.

ARSON ALLEGATIONS

Auto repair shop owner Güngör Karslı said, “A kid called and said 'your shop is burning,' I asked, 'are you joking?' He said the car caught fire first, then it spread to the shop. It is not normal for this car to burn because it has no engine. We have taken refuge in the law and justice; whoever did this will pay the price. I have a total loss of 4 million liras in the shop.”

While the fire was extinguished after about 2 hours of work by the teams, 2 businesses and 3 vehicles were reduced to ashes, and damage occurred in one business where the flames spread.

Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire.
