Minimum wage statement from Minister Işıkhan: We plan to finalize it
Minister Işıkhan made a statement regarding the minimum wage negotiations, saying, "We plan to finalize the minimum wage issue within the coming week."
Making statements regarding the minimum wage, Minister of Labor and Social Security Işıkhan said, "We plan to finalize the minimum wage within the coming week. We are waiting for wage proposals to be submitted to the commission."
Minister Işıkhan answered questions from members of the press at the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) regarding the work being carried out by the Minimum Wage Determination Commission to set the new minimum wage that will be valid in 2025.
"WE ARE WAITING FOR PROPOSALS"
Stating that he will chair the commission's third meeting on December 19, Işıkhan said, "We are now waiting for a proposal from our worker and employer segments. Hopefully, after receiving this proposal, we will meet with our chairmen again, and we plan to finalize it within the coming week."
In response to a question about whether there will be a fourth meeting, Işıkhan replied, "Let us hold our third meeting first. We will look at the situation after that. But we are now waiting for wage proposals to come to our commission."
