Minister Fidan stated that it is impossible to remain a spectator if Syria is once again subjected to internal turmoil or a provocation that threatens Turkey's national security, adding, "We will not just watch."

FİDAN EVALUATED THE ATTACKS ON SYRIA

Evaluating Israel's attacks on Syria, Minister Fidan stated that these attacks would increase instability and the risk of regional war in the medium and long term, and noted that it is necessary to extinguish this problem before it begins through preemptive diplomatic measures to prevent dire consequences.

On the other hand, Minister Fidan also touched upon US President Donald Trump's praise for President Erdoğan during his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Stating that Donald Trump respects President Erdoğan, Minister Fidan expressed that preparations are being made for Trump and President Erdoğan to meet as soon as possible.

Making a statement regarding the CAATSA sanctions imposed by the US, Minister Fidan emphasized that the priority is to secure acquired rights and take delivery of 6 F-35 aircraft. Minister Fidan stated that efforts are underway to lift the CAATSA sanctions and that such sanctions should not exist between two allies.
