Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan announced that the motion regarding the 5,000 lira payment to be made to retirees will be submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey tomorrow. Minister Işıkhan made statements regarding the one-time 5,000 lira payment to retirees during a live broadcast he attended on TRT Haber.
Stating that they have completed their technical work for the 5,000 lira payment as a ministry, Işıkhan said, "We will submit it to the Assembly tomorrow morning. Our AK Party Group Deputy Chairman will carry out the necessary procedures on this matter. The sooner the parliamentary process is concluded, the more beneficial it will be for our retirees. We will make this payment close to November 15th. Our retirees will see this amount in their accounts."
SEVERANCE PAY: WE HAVE NO SUCH WORK
In response to a question regarding allegations of a system change in severance pay, Işıkhan replied, "As a ministry, we do not have such a study. Our workers, employers, and unions should rest assured. There is actually no sentence expressing this in the Medium-Term Program either. We do not have any work on this at the moment. There is no such work planned by our ministry in the future either."
Stating that all work in his ministry is carried out within the framework of social dialogue, Işıkhan said that they have also strengthened the social dimension of the ministry by consulting with worker and employer representatives on issues concerning working life.
'WE HAVE STARTED WORKING FOR BAĞ-KUR MEMBERS'
In response to a question about the work aimed at reducing the retirement premium day requirement for Bağ-Kur members to 7200, Işıkhan replied, "We have received our instructions on this matter and have started our work."
Noting that the regulation will grant Bağ-Kur members the right to retire 5 years earlier, Işıkhan stated that they will achieve this goal in line with budget discipline.
PROCESSING CONTINUES FOR 120 THOUSAND EYT BENEFICIARIES
Upon a question regarding the work carried out within the scope of the Retirement Age Trapped (EYT) regulation, Işıkhan said, "To date, we have successfully concluded approximately 2 million EYT applications and notified our insured individuals. Our processing continues for nearly 120 thousand files. Our goal is to finish our 120 thousand files by the middle of December."
PROMISE OF INSURANCE FOR HOUSEWIVES HAS NOT BEEN MET
Regarding the work aimed at introducing retirement rights for housewives, Işıkhan stated, "This was also among the important promises of our President during our election period in May. Hopefully, we will make this improvement for housewives within the 5-year period. Our state will pay one-third of the premium support within the scope of voluntary insurance."
