Minister Işıkhan: We will increase international cooperation in the field of care economy

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan made important statements following his official visit to the Netherlands. In the meetings focusing on the "care economy," which is a rising value worldwide, the goal is for Turkey to strengthen its human resources in this field and develop sustainable policies. In a post on his social media account, Minister Işıkhan stated, "During our visit to the Netherlands, we received information about the care economy, which is on the agenda all over the world, and examples of practices in the field of long-term care."

Işıkhan, who met with officials from the Care Needs Assessment Center under the Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport at the Embassy, one of the most critical stops of the visit, drew attention to the importance of bilateral relations. Minister Işıkhan signaled that priority will be given to sharing international experience to raise the standards of care services in the coming period, saying, "We will continue to increase our cooperation with countries with which we have strong bilateral relations in order to train qualified human resources and produce policies in this field."
