Minister Özhaseki's assessment of local election results

Özhaseki came to his hometown of Kayseri to attend the opening of the Nurettin-Naciye Setenci Family Health Center, which was completed by the Melikgazi Municipality.

Stating that the citizens issued a warning in the March 31, 2024 Local Administration General Elections, Mehmet Özhaseki said, "We have passed the elections. You have once again given authority to our esteemed mayors. They are starting their duties again by saying 'bismillah'.

This is the 30th year of our mission. It is not easy, it is easy to say. Thank God, a life full of service has passed. This time, the citizens issued a bit of a warning. They said, 'Look, pull yourselves together. We have a small warning for you too.' I suppose everyone has received that message.

Including myself, our mayors have also received it. But we will continue by serving more. We will strive to earn everyone's prayers," he said.

"I AM STRIVING TO REVIVE THOSE REGIONS"

Providing information regarding the work carried out in the earthquake zones, Özhaseki said, "As you know, about a year ago, there was a major earthquake disaster, or rather two earthquakes 9 hours apart. Exactly 18 of our provinces were affected by these earthquakes.

14 million people were harmed. We laid 53 thousand 500 of our brothers and sisters to rest. The material damage is over 100 billion dollars. In my humble capacity, I am striving to revive those regions. We have efforts in every corner.

Currently, as a Ministry, we have more than a thousand construction sites. The construction of around 300 thousand houses is ongoing. We are also building steel houses in 4 thousand 333 villages. May God protect our state.

There is an army of 110 thousand people working there. We are finishing the houses and delivering them. We are building new ones. I will be going back to that side again tomorrow or the next day to continue. Hopefully, we will continue throughout the year until our earthquake-stricken brothers and sisters whose homes were destroyed settle into their new homes," he stated.
