Minister Tunç announces: Administrative courts to be established in Burdur and Karabük

The Ministry of Justice's decision regarding the establishment of administrative courts and the determination of their judicial districts has been published in the Official Gazette.

According to the published decision, in accordance with the first and second paragraphs of Article 2 of Law No. 2576 on the Establishment and Duties of Regional Administrative Courts, Administrative Courts, and Tax Courts, and following the receipt of positive opinions from the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, and the Ministry of Trade, it has been decided to establish the Burdur Administrative Court with its judicial district set as Burdur, and the Karabük Administrative Court with its judicial district set as Karabük.

"With the establishment of 33 new administrative courts in 2024, the total number has risen to 214"

Making a statement on the matter via his social media account, Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç announced that administrative courts were established in Burdur and Karabük to accelerate citizens' access to justice services and to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the judiciary.

Stating that the decision has entered into force upon its publication in the Official Gazette, Tunç said, "Thus, the total number of administrative courts nationwide, which was 60 in 2002, has risen to 214 in total with the establishment of 33 new administrative courts in 2024. I wish the newly established administrative courts to be beneficial to our country, our nation, and our judicial organization."
