Minister Tunç: Netanyahu decision is delayed but positive

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç evaluated the International Criminal Court's decision regarding Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Gallant on his social media account.

Stating that "The International Criminal Court's issuance of arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Gallant is a delayed but positive decision for stopping the bloodshed in Palestine and ending the genocide being committed," Tunç continued as follows:

"Israel, which has occupied Palestinian lands for years, has been trampling on international law and disregarding human rights in many parts of Palestine, especially in Gaza, since October 7, 2023.

The barbaric Israeli officials who target and take the lives of our innocent Palestinian brothers and sisters—without sparing babies, children, or women—who have wounded thousands of Palestinians and systematically forced millions of Palestinians to migrate, must be brought to justice as soon as possible for the war crimes and crimes against humanity they have committed.

Countries and international mechanisms that believe in democracy and human rights must take immediate action and do what is necessary to ensure that these baby killers receive the punishment they deserve.

As Turkey, under the leadership of our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we will continue to keep the injustices, the genocide, and the crimes against humanity committed by the occupying Israel on the agenda, and we will stand by our Palestinian brothers and sisters in their rightful cause.

We will resolutely continue our struggle in every field so that the Palestinian people can live freely and in a manner befitting human dignity in their own country."
