Minister Tunç responds to claims that two Syrians were hired by the Ministry of Justice

Minister of Justice Tunç, in a post on his X social media account, stated: “Claims appearing in some media outlets and social media accounts that two Syrians convicted of preparing fake diplomas were hired by the Ministry of Justice are untrue and intended for disinformation.

One of the individuals in question, Z.B., has no criminal record and, after acquiring citizenship, was included in the 2024 expert witness list of the Adana Judicial Commission Presidency as an interpreter.

Furthermore, this person is not an employee of the Ministry of Justice. As for the other individual, B.H., a conviction decision was issued, but this person has not even made an application for expert witness status as alleged.

An ex officio investigation has been initiated against those who share false information on social media accounts for the crime of ‘publicly disseminating misleading information’.”
