Minister Tunç's statement on the İmralı meeting! 'If an application is made, it will be evaluated'

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç answered journalists' questions regarding the agenda before the AKP's parliamentary group meeting.

Reminding that the DEM Party delegation had previously met with Öcalan on İmralı Island twice, Minister Tunç said, "If a new application is made, we will evaluate it and grant the permission in this regard."

INVESTIGATION INTO THE JUDGE WHO GRANTED BARIM'S RELEASE

Journalists also asked Minister Tunç about the investigation launched by the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK) into the judge who granted the release of manager Ayşe Barım.

"These are investigations carried out by the judiciary. Within the scope of the investigation, there are arrest decisions, release decisions, and decisions made upon objection. The judiciary operates within its own course. An objection is made to a higher court. The judiciary makes its decisions within the framework of our legislation," replied Minister Tunç, adding, "The process continues within its own course. These are investigations carried out by the judiciary; we will all follow the process together."
