Minister Yerlikaya announces: Operations against ISIS conducted in 45 provinces, 216 suspects detained

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 216 suspects were apprehended in the Gürz-23 operations conducted against the ISIS terrorist organization across 45 provinces. Sharing the developments on his social media account, Yerlikaya said, "Investigations have been initiated regarding the apprehended suspects for having previously operated at a responsible level within the organization and for providing financing to the organization."

"In Adana, Adıyaman, Afyonkarahisar, Amasya, Ankara, Antalya, Batman, Bilecik, Bingöl, Bitlis, Bolu, Bursa, Çorum, Denizli, Diyarbakır, Düzce, Elazığ, Erzurum, Eskişehir, Gaziantep, Hatay, Isparta, İstanbul, İzmir, Kahramanmaraş, Kayseri, Kırıkkale, Kırşehir, Kilis, Kocaeli, Konya, Kütahya, Manisa, Mersin, Muğla, Nevşehir, Niğde, Ordu, Osmaniye, Sakarya, Samsun, Şanlıurfa, Tokat, Yozgat, and Yalova, GÜRZ-23 operations were conducted against the DAESH terrorist organization by the Provincial Security Directorates' Counter-Terrorism (TEM) Branches, under the coordination of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices and the General Directorate of Security's Intelligence and Counter-Terrorism Departments.

Investigations have been initiated regarding the apprehended suspects for having previously operated at a responsible level within the organization and for providing financing to the organization.

We will not give any breathing room to any of the terrorists. We will continue our fight without pause through the superior efforts of our security forces!
