"The ugly act against our Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mr. Bekir Bozdağ, who was presiding over the Assembly during the reading of the final verdict issued by the 3rd Criminal Chamber of the Court of Cassation in the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, in accordance with Article 84 of the Constitution and Article 136 of the Rules of Procedure of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, is absolutely unacceptable.
The Presidential Podium of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey is the podium of our beloved nation. For whatever reason, the work of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, which acts on behalf of the nation, cannot be obstructed.
It is everyone's duty to show respect to the Presidential Council presiding over the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. Occupying the Parliamentary Presidential Podium and throwing a booklet at our Deputy Speaker of Parliament is a great disrespect to the national will."
