Ministry of National Defense: 12 people attempting illegal border crossings apprehended

The Ministry of National Defense announced that 12 people attempting to cross the borders of Turkey-Greece and Syria illegally have been apprehended, noting that 7 of these individuals are members of FETÖ and 2 are members of the PKK/PYD-YPG terrorist organization.

Ministry of National Defense: 12 people attempting illegal border crossings apprehended

The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) has announced that 12 people attempting to cross from Turkey into Greece and from Syria into Turkey have been apprehended as part of the ongoing efforts to ensure border security and combat illegal crossings.

According to the statement by the MSB, it was determined that 7 of the apprehended individuals are members of FETÖ, and 2 are members of the PKK/PYD-YPG terrorist organization.

The MSB stated on its official social media account that these individuals were apprehended as a result of the vigilant efforts of border units. The statement included the following:

"Our fight against illegal crossings continues for the security of our borders. 12 individuals attempting to cross illegally from our country to Greece and from Syria to our country were apprehended by our border units. As a result of the investigation, it was determined that 7 of these individuals are members of FETÖ and 2 are members of the PKK/PYD–YPG terrorist organization."
