The Ministry of Trade has decided to add another stationery product to the Unsafe Product Information System. It was stated that the ice cream-shaped highlighter sold in stationery stores poses a risk to human health, and the sale of the product has been banned, with a decision made to recall it from the market.
ICE CREAM-SHAPED HIGHLIGHTER
It was stated that the product newly added to the ministry's list is the "Mao Mao Yu" brand "Popsicle Highlighter" ice cream-shaped highlighter (6-pack), and the product was noted to have 'failed the ecology tests regarding phthalates'.
Phthalate is a substance commonly found in plastics. When it accumulates in the body in excess, it can cause many diseases such as liver cancer, liver failure, Alzheimer's, and anemia in children.
