Ministry takes action regarding nightclubs

The Ministry of Family and Social Services has issued a statement regarding allegations in the media that young girls were being employed in certain entertainment venues in Ankara. The Ministry stated that the incident was uncovered last year and that there is no current situation as alleged in the reports.

The statement reported that the children in question were brought to the Ministry's units in September and October of last year, and that a judicial process was initiated following a criminal complaint filed by the Ministry after their statements were taken. Officials stated that with the involvement of judicial authorities, an investigation was launched and the girls were promptly placed under state protection.

The Ministry further stated that following the criminal complaint filed with the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, operations were conducted against the relevant nightclubs, and the detained suspects were arrested.

CONFIDENTIALITY ORDER ISSUED IN ONGOING INVESTIGATION

Providing information regarding the investigation process, the Ministry announced that a confidentiality order has been issued for the file, keeping the best interests of the children in mind. "Protecting children from all forms of neglect and abuse is our most fundamental priority. No neglect or abuse that threatens the safety of our children will be tolerated, and our fight in this regard will continue with determination. We will continue to stand by our children with all our resources so that they may grow up in a peaceful and secure future, and as a Ministry, we will intervene in the case and meticulously follow the judicial process to ensure that the perpetrators receive the harshest penalties." the statement emphasized, highlighting the institution's approach.
