Missing for 5 days, found dead
80-year-old Şükran Güngör, who had been missing for 5 days in the Canik district of Samsun, has been found dead.
In the Teknepınar neighborhood of Samsun's Canik district, citizens collecting mushrooms in a wooded area notified 112 Emergency Health and police teams after seeing a woman lying motionless on the ground.
Upon arriving at the scene, the teams determined that 80-year-old Alzheimer's patient Şükran Güngör had passed away.
The woman's death is being treated as suspicious, and her body has been taken to the Samsun Group Presidency of the Council of Forensic Medicine for an autopsy.
It was learned that relatives of Güngör, a mother of one who had not been heard from since leaving her home in the Hasköy neighborhood, had filed a missing person report with security forces 5 days ago.
